Bring back the shine

Remove the filters from the hood, filter would be very greasy and foregoing it cleaning it means it would not be effective in collecting grease.

Fill it up

Fill the sink with hot water and add ¼ cup of borax. Once the borax has dissolved, drop the greasy filters in to the hot water. Let it sit for 15 minutes.

Hot water, Borax, Repeat

Grease may still cling to the filters even after you have wiped it off. Drain the sink, clean it and fill it again with hot water and borax. Repeat the process again. For the extra tough grease, brush it off gently.

The Last Cycle

Rinse it well with hot water and that’s how filters got its groove back. Dry it well before returning it to its place. By the way, Borax can be irritating, make sure to use gloves to protect your hands.

Mix all ingredients in a spray bottle, the temperature of the water will help dissolve all ingredients. Tea Tree Oil has antibacterial properties and smells great too.

Spray on surfaces and let it set for 10 minutes. Wipe with cloth

Homemade Disinfectant 2

1/2 cup white vinegar

1/2 cup vodka

10 drops lavender essential oil

10 drops lemon essential oil

1 1/2 cups water

Gather all ingredients and put in a spray bottle. Spray on surfaces, toys, phones and leave for 10 minutes. Wipe it down.
